I wonder if the guy who reblogged the last occupy photo I posted, comparing it to an armed tea party event, has more clever snarky comments about orcs.

Nope. This post is safe from snark. Even though I can think of two technicalities for detaining that old lady, that cop clearly looks to be pulling a dick move.

For the record:

• Refusal to cooperate. Regardless of age, if a cop asks you to come with him and you refuse then he can manhandle you as much as is necessary to get you where he asked you to go. This is probably the grounds on which a majority of the #Occupy protesters got arrested and/or maced/hogtied/whatever, because some don’t seem to think that ignoring direct police orders and fighting against restraints is illegal.
• Touching the officer or any of his equipment can be considered assault of an officer, even if it was by mistake. Brushing your hand up against an officer’s gun is a big law enforcement faux pa.
